Dromara Primary School PTA Formal
Staff, parents and friends of Dromara Primary School held the Parent Teachers Association Annual Formal Dinner in the Slieve Croob Inn. What a great, fun-loving bunch of people they are to work with! There was no problem getting the Dromara folk to pose for the camera and at all times they were friendly and considerate. There was a fantastic pre-meal atmosphere and I'm sure they had a great night and raised considerable funds for the school. Images from the evening can be viewed at

The photoalbum and framed prints which are produced will make stunning Christmas presents for the whole family to enjoy.

The Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Owen Paterson MP, enjoyed the latest of a series of fact finding visits to the province when he explored the South Down area in the company of Ulster Unionist MLA, John McCallister. Mr Paterson toured Ballykinler army base, as well as key industries in the constituency including, at Kilkeel, the fishing fleet and Thomspon Solutions (aircraft cabins and systems). The Shadow Secretary went on to consider the issues facing Northern Ireland farmers at Robert Macauley’s dairy farm outside Rathfriland, Co Down.

Glenavon 1 - 2 Glentoran
A plucky performance by Glenavon was still not enough to end a run of League defeats that has now stretched to five in a row. JJB Sports Premiership leaders Glentoran extended their lead at the top of the Irish League.

Toddler Portrait
I had the pleasure of chasing a toddler around his house this afternoon! We played ball, tractors, read books and rolled on the floor together. Lots of fun for both of us and lots of great images for his parents. Child portraits can be shot in your home, garden or the local park and with Christmas 'just around the corner' this would be the ideal time to book me to complete some of your Christmas present list. Your can call me on 07814006540.

Autumn Leaves' Diary
One of this year's fund raising efforts by Dromore's "Autumn Leaves" is a diary featuring the men of the local senior citizen's group. I have been 'honoured to be volunteered' to photograph proceedings once again and images will be taken at important landmarks in and around Dromore. In this shot George Gorman takes a break to consider.....well, just consider! What a picture of contentment.

Street Photography
This week I begin work on the new 'Autumn Leaves' calendar featuring the men of the senior citizens group in Dromore. The lady behind many such projects for charity is Helen McFadden and I include a couple of shots of her taken this afternoon in Princes Street, Dromore. Just for good measure, I've added the portrait I took of her for the Autumn Leaves calendar last year.

Glenavon grind it out
Glenavon 1 -0 Cliftonville
Glenavon manager Stephen McBride commented after the game, “We showed character, bottle and attitude today and sometimes you don’t get it all your own way and you have to grind it out and we did that today. This time last year we would never have won that game and that’s the improvement. Hopefully the supporters walk away and can see that the players are digging in, showing detemination and I couldn’t ask anymore from the lads.” See

Fresher Week
This is the time of year when parents with children of a certain age are scurrying around collecting all the bits and pieces that they will need to see them through their first term at university. Pictured above is one of mine on his way to the University of Leeds. It is one of a series of shots taken as we walked through ordinary streets on the journey. Why not book one of my portrait sessions before your children take up their accommodation in Halls or perhaps when they are home for Christmas. The photoshoot can take place in the ordinary streets and places around your home, or in my Lurgan Studio.
