I was thinking about you

Black and white engagement photograph of a young couple smiling at each otherEngagement photography in Northern IrelandI was thinking about you My buddy had just told me that the girl I 'fancied' already had a boyfriend!

I looked across the coffee bar and there was the prettiest girl I'd ever seen - and I knew she was THE one for me.

I couldn't stop thinking about her. I could 'see' her, when I closed my eyes. I went out of my way to 'just happen' to be where she was and then seemed to be dumbstruck and tongue-tied when the opportunity arose to speak.

Anyone else know what I'm talking about? In the words of the Frank Sinatra's song:

Why should I try to resist when, baby, I know so well
I've got you under my skin?
I'd sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near.

Have you ever been in that situation? It's like you can't switch your mind off - the other person is (almost) always there.

"Today I caught myself smiling for no reason
… then I realized I was thinking about you."

I didn't write that quote - but I wish I had.

Many people worry about photographs - If I had a pound for every time I'd heard, "Do you do photoshop?" Quite often they'll say they prefer candid, informal images.

I hope that's what I achieved for my clients in this post. You'll have to decide that for yourself.

Oh, and that lovely girl that I cast my eyes on in the student coffee bar?
It took a while....but now I see her every morning I open my eyes :)
....and she's been my wife for 37 years.
