How ancient are you now?

Black and white photograph of the extended familyThe whole familyFamily photography in Northern Ireland by Drew McWilliams Whatever age we are, our parents always seem like they are "ancient".

When I was 11 I thought my dad was old fashioned and out-of-date.
When I was 15 I thought my dad didn’t understand.
When I was 21 I thought I knew it all.
When I was 31 I thought I’d help the old man out a bit.

When I was 51…...he was gone.

You reach a certain age and it’s not photographs of yourself as a youngster you want to see and treasure, but images of your parents as young, dynamic, loving people - which they always were, even though you thought they were ancient at the time!

Sometimes a client will book me and say, "I don't want you to photography me. Just the kids".

I have often refused to take on the commission.

When I photograph your family, I'm doing it for your children too.

YOU will have beautiful framed wall art which will celebrate your family and decorate your home.

THEY will inherit images to help them tell the story of their family to their own children...and to remind them what their kids might be thinking about them!
